Sharlayan Book Club

We're a fellowship, cross-world linkshell, and Discord server for Final Fantasy XIV players who love to read — and talk about everything else that goes with that. Each season we run two coordinated reads: one fiction, one non-fiction, each chosen and led by a member volunteer. There are discussion threads, reading prompts, and an optional voice session at season's close. It's structured but light-touch — follow one track, both, or just use the server for general reading chat and the occasional deep lore tangent. Our current season pairs Before the Coffee Gets Cold (Kawaguchi) with The Order of Time (Rovelli), opening 21 June. New members are very welcome to join from the start. Many of us are writers, artists, game developers, animators, and creatives, and we try to support each other's work. We have native or near-native speakers of six languages and channels for language learning and chat. We started on Crystal but have grown to include other DCs — active in both NA and EU. Also: game lore, aesthetics, historical references, occasional giveaways, impromptu V&C dungeons, a small contingent of would-be Doman Mahjong players, and future plans for a Pecha Kucha night and an FFXIV TTRPG campaign.
